I believe the role of voice in my portfolio is an important one. This gives the reader authenticity and value to what is being conveyed. It also allows the portfolio to become personalized. The voice allows us to express our individuality and personal philosophy making it distinct to us. We are able to engage with our audience better and more effectively. Regardless of what we are sharing, content wise, it allows the author to resonate with their followers. Think about who you follow and how you engage with them. What draws you in and keeps you wanting to come back for more or follow up with them on certain topics? This is how the voice of an ePortfolio bridges the gaps between just sharing information and helping the reader learn and grow.

When I reflect on this journey, there are a lot of mixed emotions. It did not start out how I thought it would. There was a lot more reading and writing involved with this course than I had projected. I thought it would have been more centered around the development of the ePortfolio itself, like more technology than writing. I will say I enjoyed the Exploring Digital Resources project. It was fun to find tools to share with others and read what neat tools others found that I had not heard of or used before.

I plan to use this portfolio in many ways. I love to document my journey in life and this is a great place to keep my work. At home I have a folder of all my high school papers I wrote. Every now and again I go back and read them and I feel like posting my graduate work here is a great way to do store them, allow others who'd like to see what I wrote, and see who I am! This project has been a labor of love but I am very proud of what I have on here. When I interviewed for my current teaching position years ago, I brought with me a book I had created in Shutterfly. It showcased my students work and and competition pieces that they created throughout my time at the other middle school before my class was dissolved. When I interviewed with the principal he was blown away by this delivery and at awe of this. I hope to deliver that same thing with my ePortoflio. That any job I apply for, they will be able to see the true and authentic me.

When it comes to utilizing my ePortoflio to become a digital leader, I hope to continue researching tech tips, and tricks to share. That we can find a common place here to collaborate and grow in this tech world.
