Recently for class we had a major research project. We were given the task of finding 5 new digital tools (apps, websites, etc.) we haven't used before excluding Canva ands Google products. We were able to include AI tool, but it must serve a specific purpose rather than general use. After much researching I came up with 5 neat tools that I have enjoyed using in my educational career.
Here are 5 Digital Resources to Elevate Your Classroom:
Are you ready to transform your classroom into an interactive learning environment? Introducing Jeopardy Labs, the ultimate tool for educators looking to engage students through fun and competitive learning!
MagicSchool.ai is an online platform that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to assist teachers in creating lesson plans, generating educational materials, designing assessments, and performing other administrative tasks, aiming to streamline the teaching process by automating time-consuming aspects of lesson preparation; essentially acting as a "co-pilot" for educators across various grade levels.
Have you ever needed to know the color code for a website or photo? Let Color Picker help you find the right HEX or RGB code to match what you're looking for. It'll pull the correct hexadecimal color code every time. Bonus: there is a Chrome extension you can add, too.
Are you looking to ignite creativity in your classroom and enhance your students' storytelling skills? Introducing StoryboardThat, the premier online tool for creating visually stunning storyboards and comics that make learning engaging and fun!
The Teach-nology Bingo Generator is a versatile platform that enables teachers to design unique bingo cards filled with words, phrases, or concepts relevant to their curriculum. Perfect for review sessions, vocabulary building, or classroom games, this tool transforms learning into an enjoyable experience!
Each of these tools have helped shape my classroom in some way. Even though my class is based around a computer lab, I like to change things up with jeopardy labs and bingo generator. Sometimes I like to have students review on an actual bingo card instead of digitally. So, I'll pass out cards and dry erase markers.
Recently, since having to complete this lesson, I have found a new site called study fetch. This site is designed with educators in mind. It has so many tools to elevate your lessons. It can make flash cards, help with lesson plan generator, or convert PDF's to a video. I'm super excited to try this out and see if I can make it happen.
I have written more and in-depth material regarding each tool if you'd like to read more about it. Just click this link. Each topic has a detailed synopsis of how each tool works and what it does. There is a picture showing what the tools looks like and I have included pros and cons for each one as well. If you are looking for some new resources that you haven't used before, try these 5 tips. See if they can help simplify your life. I also love that my fellow classmates came up with different tools to share and so we have more resources to add to our repertoire.
