Did you know that there are some really cool websites out there that you can access and help make your life better?

Open Library lets you search through an online library for books and eBooks, that you can borrow and read for free. At the t
op in the search box type in the title you want to search for, and then on the right you can see if it's available to check out, borrow, or find a library with it.
Google has a new AI tool called, NotebookLM. It is an AI-powered research and writing assistant that works best with the sources you upload.
If you create a new project, then add source, you can upload copied text, a PDF, or documents from your google drive. So, if you already have a research paper written you can include that. Then at the bottom of the screen you can ask Google questions about your source. You can ask it something like, give me a four sentence summary. It will then populate it and at the bottom Google will come up with other questions you can ask it related to your topic. If you select one of those questions, it will also give you the citations to go with it on where it pulled its information from.

During February our school library sets up books for students to check out and date: She will cover them in brown paper bags and decorate them to attract the students. Once the students checks out the book then do they get to see what they picked. That's exactly what this website does.
You can pick the genre and different book types. It will then let you read the first page of the book and if you don't like what you are reading then you can move to the next one. However, if you do like it then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the reveal the title and author.

Have you ever wanted to scroll through a map timeline and see how the world changed over the years? Once you selected a time in history you can select the rulers and battles that took place during that time frame. The map will show you different battle around the world and when you select one of them it will give you more information relating to that battle.
Selecting Text from an image
Have you ever seen a picture with text on it and you wanted to copy that text? Well, now you can. Press the Windows key + shift + S on your keyboard. Then select and highlight the image with the text you want to copy. It will open it in the snipping tool and then text actions at the top. Then you will be able to highlight the text that you want, Then paste it into the document where you want it.
